Aleis Stokes
Aleis Stokes is the Chief External Relations Officer for the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB), where she oversees the organization's corporate communications, stakeholder engagement and government relations efforts.
Previously, Aleis was senior vice president of communications for the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA). She led external communications programs and messaging to promote ICBA’s pillars of advocacy, education and innovation, while engaging key stakeholders on the vital role of the nation’s community banks. She first joined ICBA in 2008 as director of media relations.
Before joining ICBA, Aleis served as a public affairs specialist for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), where she handled media relations and public affairs, and led the association’s financial literacy initiatives. While at MBA, Aleis also served as communications chair for HOPE NOW, the industry alliance to help homeowners avoid foreclosure.
Aleis holds a BA in advertising and public relations from Pennsylvania State University and earned Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America.
