MSRB Hosts Webinars on Expanded EMMA Features

In May, the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board will host a webinar to preview the additional Electronic Municipal Market Access (EMMA) voluntary disclosure options available to issuers and obligated persons beginning May 23, 2011.

The webinar, which will last approximately 30 minutes, will discuss how issuers and obligated persons can use these new disclosure capabilities to communicate important information to investors through the MSRB’s EMMA website. The MSRB will also host two training webinars in May designed to assist those individuals responsible for submitting new voluntary issuer disclosure information to EMMA. The identical sessions will cover the process of submitting additional voluntary submissions as described in MSRB Notice 2011-20, including preliminary official statements, voluntary primary market documents, and information about the timing and accounting standard used in preparing annual financials.
