SIFMA, MSRB, and DTCC to hold NIIDS/NUWS
The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB), and the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) will jointly sponsor seminars to discuss recent developments regarding DTCC's New Issue Information Dissemination System (NIIDS) and New Underwriting System (NUWS) and their impact on municipal securities dealers. The series of seminars will kick off in Dallas on July 31, 2007.
- SIFMA representatives will provide an overview of recent NIIDS/NUWS developments.
- MSRB representatives will discuss the proposed rule changes designed to improve transaction reporting for new issue municipal securities.
- DTCC representatives will review the final development stages of the reengineering of its legacy underwriting system and provide information regarding the NIIDS/NUWS implementation schedule, pilot testing, and training.
All panelists will be available to answer questions. Each seminar is expected to cover the same information, so there is no need to attend more than one. Below are the dates and locations of the seminars:
