Reminder Regarding Testing Changes to Current Transaction Reporting System

The MSRB reminds dealers to test any system changes to the current batch system before sending transaction data.  Testing can be coordinated with the MSRB for customer trade submissions and with the NSCC for inter-dealer FITS submissions.  In either case, dealers can start by contacting the MSRB.

Details about testing customer trade submissions with the MSRB are described in detail in the CTRS User’s Manual, section titled “Preparing to submit Customer Trade Data: Testing with the MSRB.”  The users guide can be found on the MSRB web site at www.msrb.org in the Transaction Reporting area.  If you plan to test any changes to customer trade submissions, please contact the MSRB.

Testing of inter-dealer trade submissions for FITS can be accomplished through the NSCC’s Participant Test Environment.  Please contact the NSCC at 212-855-5630 to coordinate testing of inter-dealer trade submissions for FITS.

Questions about this notice should be directed to John Baughman, Senior Data Analyst at 703-797-6600.
