MSRB LAUNCHES REDESIGNED WEBSITE TO ENHANCE ACCESSIBILITY OF MUNICIPAL MARKET RULES, RESEARCH AND RESOURCES

Washington, DC – The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) today launched a redesigned website to make municipal market rules, research and resources easier and more intuitive to find.

“Municipal market participants rely on the MSRB for the latest regulatory and compliance information, as well as for quality research reports and educational resources,” said MSRB CEO Mark Kim. “The new MSRB website improves access to this essential information while also more effectively communicating the MSRB’s progress toward our vision of giving America the confidence to invest in its communities.”

The MSRB prioritized addressing feedback from frequent users, including dealers, municipal advisors, issuers and investors. The changes also are designed to make the site more intuitive for new visitors seeking to learn more about the principal regulator for the $4 trillion municipal market. Key enhancements include:

  • User-friendly Design: Simplified navigation, a more modern look and feel, and improved accessibility features enable both returning and new visitors to quickly find the information they need.
  • Consolidating Related Content: New dynamic pages allow users to find all related information about an MSRB rule and keep up with each step in the rulemaking process. Users can more easily locate MSRB research papers and data sets by topic. Additionally, the enhanced Education Center replaces the separate MuniEdPro platform, providing all available online education in one convenient location.
  • More Powerful Search: Enhanced search capabilities allow users to search across both webpages and PDF content and to filter their results to more quickly find what they are looking for.

The MSRB’s historical information continues to be available for public reference, although users should note that their bookmarks to specific webpages may need to be updated.

The new MSRB.org is designed to complement the ongoing work to modernize the Electronic Municipal Market Access (EMMA®) website and related market transparency systems. Keep up with the MSRB’s work to enhance transparency through technology here.
