MSRB INTRODUCES MOBILE VERSION OF EMMA WEBSITE

Alexandria, VA – The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) today introduced a mobile-friendly version of its Electronic Municipal Market Access (EMMA®) website that optimizes certain elements of the municipal bond disclosure site for mobile display.

“EMMA Mobile will help regular users navigate key features of the site from anywhere with a cell phone,” said MSRB Executive Director Lynnette Kelly. “We’ve optimized the EMMA website as another way of ensuring investors and other municipal market stakeholders are able to easily access municipal securities information.”

EMMA Mobile allows direct access and improved navigation to municipal bond trade price information, EMMA’s search function and market statistics. EMMA users accessing the site from a mobile phone will be redirected to EMMA Mobile but still have access to the full site. The MSRB encourages first-time EMMA users to visit the full site to become familiar with its features before using the mobile version.

The MSRB is a federal regulatory entity with primary responsibility under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 for rulemaking in the municipal securities market. The MSRB operates the EMMA® website as the primary vehicle for disseminating market data and disclosures in support of its mission to promote a free and fair municipal market.

EMMA, at http://emma.msrb.org, provides free public access to official disclosure documents, ongoing disclosures and trade prices associated with municipal bonds issued in the United States. EMMA provides access to documents and data for more than 1 million outstanding securities, including current credit ratings and interest rate information, liquidity documents and other information for most variable rate municipal securities.

The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) protects and strengthens the municipal bond market, enabling access to capital, economic growth, and societal progress in tens of thousands of communities across the country. MSRB fulfills this mission by creating trust in our market through informed regulation of dealers and municipal advisors that protects investors, issuers and the public interest; building technology systems that power our market and provide transparency for issuers, institutions, and the investing public; and serving as the steward of market data that empowers better decisions and fuels innovation for the future.
