Alexandria, VA – The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) today announced that Kathleen Miles has joined the organization’s legal department as Associate General Counsel.

Ms. Miles has more than 15 years of experience serving as bond and underwriter counsel for municipal finance transactions. She joins the MSRB from Kutak Rock, LLP where she was of counsel in the firm’s public finance practice area. Prior to joining Kutak Rock LLP, Ms. Miles was associate general counsel at Fannie Mae where she specialized in the securitization of multifamily and single family loans. Before that, she was a public finance attorney in New York City and at law firms in Washington, D.C.

“Kathy’s depth of knowledge and experience in public finance will be a great resource for the MSRB,” said MSRB Deputy General Counsel, Peg Henry. “We are very pleased that she is with us.”

Ms. Miles received a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a law degree from the University of Virginia.
