MSRB ANNOUNCES PRIMARY MARKET SUBMISSION SERVICE WEBINARS

Alexandria, VA – The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) today announced that it will host webinars designed to assist municipal securities underwriters, dealers, and their agents with submitting documents to the MSRB’s Primary Market Submission Service. Four sessions, each covering the same information, will be held from February 1 to February 10, 2011. These sessions will include instructions for accessing the Gateway system and provide an overview on the amendment to MSRB Rule G-32.

The MSRB set an effective date of Monday, February 14, 2011 for amendments to Rule G-32 on disclosures in connection with primary offerings. Underwriters will be required to provide to EMMA certain information about continuing disclosure undertakings, including an indication about whether the issuer or other obligated person has undertaken to provide continuing disclosures; the identity of any obligated persons other than the issuer; and the timing by which issuers or obligated persons have agreed to provide annual financial and operating data.

Several webinar sessions will provide training on compliance with the amendment to Rule G-32, and instructions on how to submit documents to the Primary Market Disclosure Service on EMMA. The webinars will also provide instruction on accessing the Gateway system, navigating the Electronic Municipal Market Access (EMMA) Dataport, and submitting documents to the EMMA system.

There is no charge to attend MSRB webinars; however, pre-registration is required. Pre-registration can be completed by following the links below. Each session will last approximately one hour. Information about upcoming webinars and outreach seminars is also posted on www.MSRB.org under Events and Training.
