REGISTRAR – The person or entity responsible for maintaining records on behalf of the issuer that identify the owners of a registered bond issue.  The trustee under a trust indenture often also acts as registrar.  Compare:  TRANSFER AGENT.  See:  BOND REGISTER; TRUSTEE.
