Interview Process

To ensure that we select the most qualified individuals for each position, our process begins with a phone interview with the hiring manager and/or others who would work closely with the successful candidate. A small number of candidates are then selected for on-site interviews at the MSRB. The on-site interview process varies depending upon the position for which you are interviewing, but may include one full day of interviews or several partial days of interviews. In many cases, we will administer an assessment that will help us determine whether you possess the requisite knowledge, skills or abilities for the position.

Performance Management

The importance of providing regular, relevant and timely feedback is taken seriously at the MSRB. At the start of our fiscal year, all employees establish individual objectives that support both the long-term strategic plan as well the short-term annual operating plan set by the Board and Senior Leadership Team. Our collaborative process encourages ongoing feedback throughout the year while formal feedback is provided at midyear and end of the year. This performance management program ensures performance expectations are clearly outlined and that results are objectively tied to compensation and promotion decisions.

Office Environment and Location

Employees work together in a bright space on a single floor with a variety of workspaces, including conference rooms, offices, cubicles and open team areas. Each workspace is ergonomically outfitted to meet each employee’s needs, complete with adjustable sit-to-stand desks. Employees enjoy complimentary soft drinks, teas and coffees. For lunch, employees may dine in our large employee lounge or across the street at Franklin Square Park.

Do you have an internship program?

We do not offer a formalized internship program at this time, however, you can feel free to inquire as to whether any individualized opportunities may be available.

Do you conduct background screening investigations?

Yes, upon the extension of an offer, we will conduct a criminal background investigation and verify your past employment history including salary history as well as education. We will also conduct reference checks. In certain positions, a credit check may also be required.

Do you offer employer sponsorship of visas?

Currently, we do not offer any employer sponsorship of visas.

What happens to my application after I submit it?
Your information will be reviewed by our Human Resources department for consideration for the position for which you applied. You will receive an automated response letting you know we have received your materials. We will contact you if your skills and background align with our current opportunities.
